The planted courtyard and plunge pool at Zen Guesthouse in Playa del Carmen, in warm morning light

Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Stillness, a block from the sea.

A small meditation-retreat guesthouse in the quiet north end of the Riviera Maya. Wake with the light. There is nowhere to be.

The House

A quiet house, small on purpose

Rooms arranged around a planted courtyard, adults only, a short walk from Quinta Avenida and the beach.

Structured practice balanced with generous free time — a table without screens, and a rhythm set by sunrise rather than a schedule. It is slow travel as the point, not the compromise, for travellers who want depth over itinerary.

The Day

The day begins on the mat and ends with the bowls

Sunrise on the rooftop pavilion. A slow, local breakfast. Free hours for the beach, a cenote, or nothing at all. Yoga in the late light, then a sound bath as the day settles. Free time is the point, not the compromise.
