Yoga Shala

In practice

What is the yoga shala?

A shala is simply a home for practice. Ours is an open-air pavilion where morning and late-afternoon yoga unfolds to birdsong and moving air, rather than inside four walls.

Sessions move with the day — a grounding Hatha or flowing Vinyasa in the cooler morning light, something slower and restorative as the afternoon settles. All levels are welcome; the pace is unhurried and the mats are laid out and waiting.

Practising in the open, under a simple roof with palms at the edges, changes the feel of it. The point is not performance. It is to move, breathe, and arrive.

  • Morning Hatha / Vinyasa; restorative in the late light
  • All levels welcome — unhurried pace
