Temazcal Ceremony

A temazcal is an ancestral Mesoamerican sweat-lodge ceremony — the "house of heat." It is a ceremony, not a spa steam: a hosted ritual of warmth, copal smoke, and song, led by a local guide, that has been part of life in this region for centuries.

Inside a low earthen dome, volcanic stones are warmed and water is poured to raise a fragrant steam. What follows is slow and communal — breath, quiet, chant, and rest — a deliberate letting-go rather than an endurance test.

We frame it with respect, as living heritage led by practitioners from here, not as a novelty. It is offered as an invitation; you set your own limits, and stepping out is always welcome.
